We are a network of HIV specialists and primary care clinicians who provide collegial support and expertise to one another, enhancing and advancing care for persons with HIV disease in their communities.
Participants are invited to bring cases from their own practices for discussion
At the completion of this program participants should be able to:
- Apply current information to collaborative decision making in the selection of agents for initial HAART regimens
- Recognize the toxic and adverse effects of antiretroviral therapy and identify diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to mitigate these effects
- Recognize the potential benefits of early HIV detection
- Relate the current DHHS guidelines to treatment initiation
