Brief Overview: Dr. Sax will provide a summary of important presentations from the 2021 Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections. This will include data from basic and translational research, clinical trials, as well as implications for clinical care for people living with HIV.
Objectives for this specific session: After completing this training, the participants will be able to….
- Incorporate new data on antiretroviral therapy into the care of people living with HIV.
- Discuss pending developments in antiretroviral therapy, such that they will be able to anticipate incorporation of new agents and approaches into their care when available.
- Understand progress in the understanding of key complications of HIV and of antiretroviral therapy and of how to incorporate this into the care of people living with HIV.
