Title: Intersectional Stigma: Impacts of stigma due to substance use, HIV, and other intersections

Brief Description: Dr. Walters will explain how intersectionality is a critical theory, method, and praxis that accounts for how interlocking systems of oppression affect individual and group experiences and health outcomes. She will give an overview of stigma and intersectional stigma, then home in on how intersectional stigma impacts substance use and HIV outcomes.
