The Essentials of HIV-Integrated Care: Expanding Whole-Person Care Through Comprehensive and Specialty Trainings, is an HIV syndemic focused training series aimed at providing the most up-to-date information and education for medical health care team members currently not involved in HIV care to increase their ability to prevent new HIV infections, identify people with HIV who are undiagnosed or out of care, and link patients not on antiretrovirals to care.

This session will be on DoxyPEP & STIs and presented by Antonio Reisopoulos from Open Door Health, located in Providence, RI.

The presentation's objectives include:

• Increase Awareness: Educate participants about the prevalence and types of STDs that disproportionately affect individuals living with HIV.
• Understand Transmission Risks: Explain how STDs can impact HIV transmission and overall health, emphasizing the importance of safe practices.
• Promote Testing and Treatment: Encourage regular screening for STDs and discuss the benefits of timely treatment for both STDs and HIV.
• Enhance Communication Skills: Equip participants with strategies for discussing sexual health and STD testing with partners and healthcare providers.
• Provide Resources: Share information on local health services, support groups, and educational materials available for ongoing learning and support.
