The week of October 21-25, 2024, recognized the importance of Oral Health for members of the LGBTQ+ Community.
Recorded on October 22nd, 2024, 12-1PM, the Essentials of HIV-Integrated Care Series featured an oral health webinar presented by Dr. Alex Barrera, DDS, specifically geared for the LGBTQ+ Community that was designed to educate oral health providers, health providers, support staff, and others involved in the care of PWH. Routine oral health care is medically necessary and has demonstrated an impact on oral disease management such as inflammation as well as other chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and more.

- Understand the about the economic, social, and emotional challenges faced by the queer community and how that plays a role in oral health care.
